LG has revealed its latest Netbook at consumer electronics show IFA 2008 in Berlin.
The X110 Netbook has a choice of either an 80GB or 120GB hard drive and built-in 3G HSDPA for connecting to the internet alongside both wireless and wired-connectivity options.
Jeon Kwang Yung, LG Electronics PC division vice-president, said: "The 3G embedded and stylish X110 will provide customers with a totally new concept in mobile telecommunications."
The new Netbook from LG also sports a ten-inch 1,024 x 600 screen, a 1.6GHz processor and 1GB of RAM.
LG has abandoned supplying its Netbook with a Linux-based operating system in favour of Microsoft’s Windows XP.
According to Business Standard, low cost computing with Microsoft’s Windows operating system is a step further for laptop developers – making open source software not necessarily the cheapest option.
Ravi Venkatesan, chairman of Microsoft India, told the news provider: "Our aim is to propel a wider acceptance for IT amongst the masses by extending an opportunity to learn, connect, create, and succeed."
