Nikon’s Coolpix S210 is one of the slimmest digital cameras on the market and is good compact for travellers, one reviewer writes.
The camera manufacturer’s latest compact is an eight-megapixel device with a 3x optical zoom and comes in four colours, black, brushed bronze, blue and plum.
At 18 millimetres wide, the camera packs 52MB of built-in memory into the case and a battery which is good for 220 photos on a single charge.
Commenting on the picture quality of the eight-megapixel compact, Cameras.co.uk said: "Although the camera is capable of striking colours they stay on the safe side and do not overpower the shots."
"If you are looking for a snapshot camera, the Coolpix S210 should be able to do the job," the website added.
Meanwhile, a Nikon digital camera containing sensitive information about al Quaeda suspects lost by an MI6 agent was sold on eBay for £17, reports Reuters.

The latest version of Norton’s internet security suite is a marked improvement on the previous version, according to one reviewer.
However, the spam filtering service offered by the company is slow and other anti-spam software offer superior performance, according to PC Advisor.
The tech-review website claims that Norton Internet Security 2009’s most notable gain was in its responsiveness and the fact that the software’s memory and CPU usage have been cut dramatically.
PC Advisor said: "The protection it offers is hard to beat though its spam controls could be better."
The site claimed that Norton’s latest anti-virus package took about a minute to install and puts less strain on a computer’s hardware and the new software has an Identity Safe to store personal data used for online banking and gaming.
According to new research by MessageLabs, an internet services provider, Egham is the most spammed town in the UK, with businesses receiving an average of 190 unsolicited emails a day, reports Staines News.

Memory manufacturer SanDisk has unveiled a 16GB memory card for mobile phones.
The company claims the latest high-capacity addition will change the way people use their mobile phones.
SanDisk’s 16GB micro-SD card can be used in digital cameras, video cameras and mp3 players.
Avi Greengart, research director for mobile devices at Current Analysis, told eweek.com: "Handsets have become far more than just phones; they’ve become mobile jukeboxes, mobile offices, even mobile movie theatres."
"There is an acute need for more mobile storage capacity. 16GB gives consumers the ability to carry their digital content with them," he added.
SanDisk’s new memory card comes hot on the heels of an announcement that there could be as many as four billion mobile phone handsets on the global market by the end of 2008.
A study by the International Telecommunications Union showed that uptake in developing economies was partly responsible for the increase.

Printer manufacturer PlanOn has unveiled the world’s smallest Bluetooth printer, it has been reported.
The company’s Printstik PS910 weighs 700-grams, measures one-inch in height and 11-inches in width.
PlanOn’s new device uses special thermal paper cartridges, which contain 20 sheets of A4, and can output three pages a minute.
As well as being Bluetooth compatible, the printer can be connected to any PC using a standard USB cable.
The Printstik is aimed at mobile users and offers print resolutions of up to 200 x 400 dots per inch.
Gadget review website the-gadgeteer.com said: "The PlanOn Printstik is very easy to use and I like the portability.
"I can understand its usefulness for a business person, but for an average Joe, I’m not sure it would see that much use."
PlanOn is also responsible for the DocuPen RC800 handheld colour scanner, which is slightly wider than a fountain pen and longer than the width of a sheet of A4 paper.
It is operated by dragging the device down the page.

Kodak’s compact 12x optical zoom camera lags behind on picture quality and fails to offer value for money, one reviewer has said.
The company’s EasyShare Z8612 IS is an eight-megapixel compact with manual exposure, built-in image stabalisation and offers photographers an alternative to many larger zoom models, cameras.co.uk claims.
However, the good points about the digital camera are clearly outweighed by the poor performance in terms of picture quality, the reviewer states.
The website said: "There are plenty of alternative super-zoom digital cameras around.
"If you are looking for an inexpensive super-zoom camera try looking at the Fuji Finepix S1000fd."
The reviewer added that the Finepix is available at a lower price and has a better image quality than the Kodak.
Meanwhile, Kodak has unveiled its latest EasyShare camera, the Z1485 IS digital camera, at this year’s Photokina technology fair in Cologne, Germany, reports the Photography Press.
